Technion Angels

Technion Angels, operating as the Angel Investors Training Program through the Technion's Knowledge Center for Innovation, delivers structured education to aspiring and active angel investors. The program focuses on enhancing participants' understanding of startup investment dynamics. It provides a comprehensive curriculum integrating theoretical insights and practical methodologies for evaluating ventures, conducting due diligence, and managing an investment portfolio, ultimately aiming to professionalize the angel investment process.

The initiative stems from the Technion's Knowledge Center for Innovation, with leadership from figures like Prof. Miriam Erez, its Chair, and Limor Moses Muscona, its Director, in collaboration with the HiCenter for Technological Entrepreneurship in Haifa. This program arose from the recognized need to equip individual investors with advanced expertise, drawing upon academic rigor and the extensive experience of industry veterans such as Saul Orbach, a serial entrepreneur and venture capital fund managing partner.

The program caters to qualified individuals demonstrating a willingness and capacity to invest in new ventures, possessing strong professional and educational backgrounds. Its overarching vision is to cultivate a more sophisticated and effective angel investor community, thereby bolstering the success rates of early-stage startups and contributing to a more robust innovation ecosystem within Israel and beyond.
