SHAKE Climate Change Accelerator cultivates and supports early-stage ventures focused on agri-climate innovation. The program provides mentorship, expert guidance, and seed funding to entrepreneurs developing scientific and technological solutions within agriculture and food production. It integrates rigorous scientific research with practical business development, fostering viable climate-positive innovations.

Established as a consortium, SHAKE is led by Rothamsted Research, in partnership with Cranfield University, University College London, and the University of Hertfordshire. This initiative arose from the collective insight that agricultural and food systems are crucial for climate action, necessitating a blend of academic expertise and entrepreneurial drive to develop impactful solutions.
