P33 Chicago is a civic organization establishing the city and Illinois as a global technology and innovation hub. Conceived in 2018 and launched in 2019, P33 Chicago was founded by civic and business leaders. Key figures include Penny Pritzker, former U.S. Secretary of Commerce, and Chris Gladwin, founder of Ocient. Their insight identified Chicago's potential in future technologies, aiming to unify its tech ecosystem for economic growth.
