NTI was founded in 2009 by Brian James, alongside Jim James, Tim White, Jeff White, and Tenesha James, in West Chicago, Illinois. Starting with a core team of five, the founders established the company with an emphasis on customer-centricity and core values during the challenging economic climate of the recession. Brian James, who initially led NTI's growth for over a decade, rejoined the company as President in 2024.
