IU Ventures

IU Ventures is a 501(c)(3) affiliate of Indiana University based in Bloomington, Indiana, that supports high-potential new ventures by IU students, faculty, staff, and alumni through various programs and early-stage investments. The organization manages initiatives such as the IU Founders & Funders Network, IU Philanthropic Venture Fund, Innovate Indiana Fund, and IU Angel Network, fostering the university's entrepreneurial ecosystem. It provides early-stage venture and angel investments, funded through philanthropic ventures and its university affiliation. Notable figures associated with the network include Scott Dorsey, co-founder of ExactTarget and managing partner at High Alpha, and Max Yoder, founder of Lessonly. The organization also supports emerging entrepreneurs like Benton Miller, founder of RetrievAir. IU Ventures evolved from the Advanced Research and Technology Institute (ARTI), established in 1997.
