Founded in October 2020, CYGNUSEMI is a Shanghai, China-based semiconductor company that develops advanced baseband chips for 5G and 6G communications, including Internet of Things connectivity and satellite technologies. The organization designs hardware solutions that support diverse all-scenario applications, such as fixed wireless access, the industrial Internet of Things, non-terrestrial network satellite communication, vehicle-to-everything connectivity, and edge computing. These specialized semiconductor products are primarily utilized by commercial enterprise customers operating across the telecommunications, drone manufacturing, electric vertical takeoff and landing aviation, and emergency cluster communications sectors. To finance its ongoing hardware research and commercialization efforts, the enterprise has raised a total of $271.77 million in venture capital funding to date. This accumulated capital includes a recent $69.13 million Series B-II equity funding round that officially closed in April 2024 to further commercialize its chips.
