Bankly is a Lagos, Nigeria-based financial technology startup that digitizes cash and provides agency banking services to unbanked and underbanked populations. Operating as both a licensed payment service provider and microfinance bank, the company has grown its offline network to 15,000 agents, served over two million Nigerians, and processed more than $200 million in informal financial sector transactions. The platform expanded its digital offerings by launching a neobank product called Bloomm, which attracted 150,000 customers and 105,000 weekly unique users within its first eight weeks of pilot testing. To support this growth, the enterprise closed a $2 million seed funding round led by Vault, with additional participation from venture capital firms including Rising Tide Africa, Plug and Play Ventures, and Chrysalis Capital. Bankly was founded in 2018 by Tomilola Majekodunmi and Fredrick Adams.
