The firm was established in 2006 by co-founders Jeffrey A. Goldberger and Andrew B. Cohen. Both principals previously held key roles within UBS Investment Bank’s Global Commercial Real Estate Group. There, their experience involved investing the bank’s capital on a principal basis into opportunistic and value-added equity investments, an insight that directly informed the strategic foundation for Atlas Capital Group.
