Operating on a software-as-a-service subscription model, the company reached a $1.86 billion valuation in 2017 after securing more than $404 million in total venture capital funding across five rounds and an additional $75 million in debt financing. The enterprise platform was historically built natively on Salesforce and received significant financial backing from prominent institutional investors including Salesforce Ventures and ICONIQ Capital. In September 2018, private equity firm Thoma Bravo acquired a majority stake in the business, which subsequently merged with document generation provider Conga in 2020 to form a combined entity valued at approximately $3.2 billion.
